Scenario
A logistics director picks the site for a second distribution centre. Four cities — Reno, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Boise — are scored from 1 to 5 against five criteria, each weighted by importance. Reno, the current favourite, is the baseline that every other option is compared against.

How to read
Each column's total is the sum of score × weight. Salt Lake City wins with 77, 17 points ahead of Reno's 60, mainly on labour availability and truck reach. Phoenix is second with 67 despite a score of 1 on heat and water risk. Boise comes last at 57 — the cheapest land, but weak on the two most heavily weighted criteria. Change a weight or a score and the ranking is recomputed.
