Revenue growth issue tree (left-to-right logic chart)
A consulting-style issue tree that splits a 30% revenue-growth goal into four levers, each lever into sub-levers, and some sub-levers into first moves — drawn left to right with one column per level.
For the strategy lead building a growth plan
Scenario
A leadership team breaks the goal "Grow Revenue 30% Next Year" into the four levers that together make up revenue growth: win new customers, expand existing accounts, keep the customers we have, and raise price realization. Each lever splits into three sub-levers, and several of those name one or two first moves. The levers do not overlap, so every item has exactly one place in the tree.
Annotation key
%% style: logic-right— draw the map as a left-to-right logic chart instead of a radial map- Other
%%lines — comments; they are not drawn # Grow Revenue 30% Next Year— the root, on the far left## Win new customers— a first-level branch (a lever); each gets its own colour- More qualified pipeline— a second-level item under the lever above it- Indented
- Partner referrals— a third-level item under the bullet above it
How to read
Read from left to right: each column is a more specific answer to the column before it. The first column is the goal, the second the four levers, the third the sub-levers, the fourth the first moves. Every item keeps its lever's colour, so you can trace any first move — such as "Deal desk above 15% off" — back through "Less discounting" to "Raise price realization".
